AIMA Raised Funds for Child in Need Institute(CINI) from Ladies High Tea Evening July 2022
Amount Raised From AIMA/CBA annual dinner Raffles tickets 2022 was donated to our Charity Partner Destiny Rescue and Save the children.
We appreciate AIMA members kind support and generosity for the charity initiative taken by AIMA
Amount Raised From AIMA annual dinner Raffles tickets 2021 was donated to UNHCR. Majority of the proceeds has gone into support of the Afghanistan emergency appeal.

On Sunday 4th September 2022 – AIMA in collaboration with ISWA conducted a Mental health promotional seminar for the community .
Topics included – COVID Effects & Its Prevention for Mental Health, Impact of Social Media on Children,Mental Health for Elderly and 2nd generation migrants, Daily life stress prevention strategies.
It was attended by many members of the community and diaspora & very much benefited.
AIMA WA continued to support global cancer run conducted by Grace Cancer Foundation in India which achieved 2 Guinness book of world records & was successful in achieving the
goals of spreading breast cancer awareness & promoting health by making record numbers of people participate in the run.
On Sunday 30th May 2021- AIMA in collaboration with ISWA conducted another health promotional seminar for community on Women’s health topics
Topics included – Menorrhagia , Cervical Screening & Colposcopy, Breast Cancer screening, Domestic Violence- Comprehensive overview and Psychological issues
It was attended by 120 members of the community and diaspora.
AIMA children raised $ 287 at AIMA Indoor Cricket tournament by their food stall. The amount was donated to Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation
On Sunday 12th September – AIMA in collaboration with ISWA conducted first health promotional seminar for community on child health topics.
Topics included – Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder , Childhood Obesity & Diabetes, Constipation & Bed Wetting, Headache & Epilepsy, Oral Health & Medicines and it’s importance in children
It was attended by many members of the community and diaspora & very much benefited

AIMA WA Fundraiser to support CINI Australia to help Child in need in India & their families due to COVID Situation

CINI Australia has sought help of AIMA WA for a collaborative fundraising initiative to prevent the transmission of COVID in India
$ 10 donation for each CINI’s Family COVID Wellness Kit will hopefully protect one family against Covid
Eg. $ 100 Donation will help about 10 families
AIMA Management Committee kindly requests you all to support this initiative and sponsor for as many kits as you are able by donating generously to help many families in areas of dire need.

Australian Indian Medical Association WA along with help of SEWA International Australia has taken the initiative of sending 20 Ventilators to Combat the unfolding humanitarian health crisis situation in India.
The Ventilators have been reserved from a private enterprise for this purpose.
The amount needed to purchase the 20 Ventilators is approximately $ 130000.
We understand each & everyone of us have been very keen to do some substantive help, We Request you all utilise this opportunity where the ventilators would be reaching Indian Red Cross for distribution to places of need.

On Sunday 14th March 2021- AIMA WA in collaboration with ISWA conducted first health promotional seminar for community on eve of International day for women on Women’s health issues.
Topics included – Menopause, Urinary Incontinence & Prolapse, Osteoporosis & Pelvic floor exercises.
It was attended by 250 members of the community and diaspora.
On eve of International day for woman,AIMA had a health promotion stall at NAARI 2021 organised by ISWA. Services offered included healthy eating options by Mrs Jayanthi Pandurangan-dietician, cancer council WA promoting cancer prevention awareness & healing touch international promoted bone marrow donation campaign
An amount of $ 2592 from AIMA annual Diwali dinner 2020 was donated to PM cares fund in India in support for COVID victims. The amount was transferred to PM cares fund on 14-2-2021.

Shamira events along with support of AIMA WA has organised a fund
rising event to raise funds for Royal Flying doctor service through a
musical ghazal night exclusively being held for AIMA families
AIMA WA is working with Healing international to create awareness for
establishing a bone marrow registry.
A health promotion stall was done at Annual Diwali mela organised by
ISWA and AIMA helped promote the event and cause
AIMA WA played a pivotal role in promoting cancer awareness during
the pandemic times through our first ever global virtual cancer run
conducted by Grace Cancer Foundation in India which achieved 2
Guinness book of world records & was successful in achieving the

making record numbers of people participate in the run.
AIMA WA also supported the noble cause of raising funds for building
of a COVID Care centre in Chennai India, through Healing
International
A Panel of AIMA Doctors volunteered to help & offer free medical
services for Indian university students in need and stranded visiting
parents during the months when Pandemic started and accessing
medical help for these groups was challenging. Many students and
families benefitted from this gesture & was well appreciated
Dr Ray Hodgson is a director of charitable organisation- Australian for
women’s health. A4WH provides medical & surgical care for
underprivileged women in rural & remote Nepal. AIMA in collaboration
with ISWA organised a fund rising talk on 3 rd December 2019 to assist
the work being undertaken by A4WH
AIMA WA participates annually at Naari event organised by ISWA.
Doctors from various fields of medicine assist in health promotion at
the event
Dr M R Rajagopal visited Perth in 2018. He is considered as father of
palliative care in India. AIMA WA assisted in conducting a talk for
doctors and raising awareness of the work done by him and raising
funds through sale of his books to help the needy back in India
