On Sunday 4th September 2022 – AIMA in collaboration with ISWA conducted a Mental health promotional seminar for the community .
Topics included – COVID Effects & Its Prevention for Mental Health, Impact of Social Media on Children,Mental Health for Elderly and 2nd generation migrants, Daily life stress prevention strategies.
It was attended by many members of the community and diaspora & very much benefited.
On Sunday 30th May 2021- AIMA in collaboration with ISWA conducted another health promotional seminar for community on Women’s health topics
Topics included – Menorrhagia , Cervical Screening & Colposcopy, Breast Cancer screening, Domestic Violence- Comprehensive overview and Psychological issues
It was attended by 120 members of the community and diaspora.
On Sunday 12th September – AIMA in collaboration with ISWA conducted first health promotional seminar for community on child health topics.
Topics included – Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder , Childhood Obesity & Diabetes, Constipation & Bed Wetting, Headache & Epilepsy, Oral Health & Medicines and it’s importance in children
It was attended by many members of the community and diaspora & very much benefited
On Sunday 14th March 2021- AIMA WA in collaboration with ISWA conducted first health promotional seminar for community on eve of International day for women on Women’s health issues.
Topics included – Menopause, Urinary Incontinence & Prolapse, Osteoporosis & Pelvic floor exercises.
It was attended by 250 members of the community and diaspora.
On eve of International day for woman,AIMA had a health promotion stall at NAARI 2021 organised by ISWA. Services offered included healthy eating options by Mrs Jayanthi Pandurangan-dietician, cancer council WA promoting cancer prevention awareness & healing touch international promoted bone marrow donation campaign
AIMA WA is working with Healing international to create awareness for
establishing a bone marrow registry.
A health promotion stall was done at Annual Diwali mela organised by
ISWA and AIMA helped promote the event and cause
A Panel of AIMA Doctors volunteered to help & offer free medical
services for Indian university students in need and stranded visiting
parents during the months when Pandemic started and accessing
medical help for these groups was challenging. Many students and
families benefitted from this gesture & was well appreciated
