Dr Satish Devata was Born and Brought up in Historical city of Hyderabad in India. Satish graduated in Medicine in 1999 from Davangere and did his Post Graduation in General Medicine from 2001-2004 in India. Satish has been working as a GP in Australia since 2006. He has worked in Wheatbelt for a Year and has been in Rockingham- Kwinana area for 12 years.

He is very passionate in teaching medical students and he has done so in India and Worked as tutor at UWA. Over past 12 years, he has helped numerous overseas doctors with Orientation to Australian General practice system. He regularly takes on Medical student placements from Notre Dame and attends as Examiner for Notre Dame and RACGP. He runs and Coordinates the Education Sessions for the Team of Doctors who all work together.

Satish likes holistic approach to Patient care and he prides himself for his approach. He enjoys all aspects of General practice.

He co-owns Few General Practice clinics in Perth Metro area. He is happily married with two young Girls and enjoys Table tennis, Badminton, Cricket and Bollywood movies & Travel.

Vice PresidentMr Mayank Bhandari is Consultant Hepatobiliary and General Surgeon who specialises in laparoscopic (keyhole), hepato-pancreatico-bliary (HPB) and renal transplant surgery. His main interests are in disease of the liver, gallbladder, biliary system and pancreas.

Mr Mayank Bhandari comes from Jaipur, Rajasthan. He completed his surgical training in India. Post surgicalgraduation he did fellowship in Surgical Gastroenterology inMumbai. He migrated to Adelaide, Australia in 2004.

Since then he has contributed extensively in the management of liver and pancreatic diseases. Mr Bhandari did a PhD in pancreatology at Flinders University, Adelaide. After his fellowship in general surgery, he was awarded with Paul McMaster Fellowship for advanced training in liver and pancreatic surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK.

His main interests are Cricket, Bollywood movies and music.

Mr. Gera is currently working as Head of Department of Paediatric Surgery at Perth Children's Hospital .

Apart from his public appointments , he has his private consulting rooms at Perth Paediatrics and also works privately at St John of God Hospitals in Murdoch , Midland & Subiaco and Glengarry private hospital

Mr Gera belongs to Amritsar and migrated to Australia with his wife Dr Mala Gera and two children in 2004.Mr Gera did his initial training in General Surgery and Paediatric Surgery in Amritsar and Mumbai. Mr Gera then did his further training in in Australia .He completed his fellowship with The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Master of Medical Science from University of Western Australia and Master of Hospital Management from University of New South Wales.

He has been trained in Paediatric and Minimal Invasive Surgery at various hospitals including The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and The Sydney Children’s Hospital and St Jude Children's Hospital , Memphis(USA).

Besides his clinical practice, Mr. Gera is also involved in teaching programs at the University of Western Australia and is actively involved in the supervision of trainee surgeons. He is senior instructor for The Royal Australian Australasian College of Surgeons for the management of trauma and burns.

Mr. Gera holds an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor at Curtin University, Western Australia. Mr Gera has keen interest in research and has published widely in national and international journals.

One of his passion is his involvement in Science of Spirituality a non- profit organization promoting meditation and healthy way of life.

Dr Sree Krishna Chowdavarapu is a General Practitioner based in Cottesloe and Jandakot. He completed MBBS and Post-graduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Kurnool Medical College, Andhra Pradesh, India. Migrated to Australia in 2004 and worked in rural WA for 9 years before moving to Perth.

He co-owns few practices in Perth, with special interest in Occupational medicine, Aviation, Oil and Gas industry. He is an enthusiastic and passionate medical practitioner with special interest in teaching medical students during their medical placements and has been actively involved with RACGP as an examiner.

Immediate Past PresidentDr Sanjay Mukhedkar was born & brought up in the beautiful city of Hyderabad to doctor parents Graduated from the prestigious Osmania Medical college, he completed Post Graduation in Gen. Surgery at Gandhi Medical college, Secunderabad. During this period he met his soul mate Dr Ashwini Davray. They both migrated to NZ & went to do Residency in St Luke's Hospital Manhattan, NY from 1996 to 1999.

Sanjay got into Oncology at Waikato Hamilton, moved to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital to complete his FRACP. Joined Fremantle Hospital as junior consultant & then to retire from public service as head of the department in 2014. Since 2006, he also established the first group practice in medical oncology based in SJOG hospital Murdoch. Under the banner of Oncology West, they cater to all oncological needs in the southern corridor extending to Rockingham, midlands & Mandurah. He is also a Principal Investigator in many new trials with expertise in Lung, GI & GU cancers.

Apart from busy practise, he is also a keen cricketer, regular badminton & chess player. His passion now is more in facilitating tournaments to get like minded people together.

Daughter of an Air Force officer and a homemaker, Ashwini has lived in different parts of India. Her family finally settled in Hyderabad where she completed years 7-12 and graduated from Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad. Subsequently she completed her residency training and MD from Columbia University in New York.

It was while working in Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, New Zealand that she was inspired to specialize in Palliative Medicine.

Following her husband’s work to Perth, she completed the FRACP exams and trained in Palliative Medicine in WA.

She has been the Head of Department of the Palliative Care Unit in Bethesda Hospital. Currently her clinical work is focused in Hollywood Private Hospital. She is passionate about mentoring the registrars and teaching medical students.

Ashwini and her husband Sanjay Mukhedkar have two sons and they enjoy travelling together. Ashwini also enjoys singing and badminton.

After completing her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology from  Kings College Hospital London, Arpita moved to Perth with her family in 2017 with her 2 kids Aishani & Aayush, and husband Amit, who is currently working as a Paediatric Gastroenterology Consultant at the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne.

Arpita is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at St John of God Midland Hospital; also works privately with "One for Women” in Midland where she brings extensive experience in all aspects of ambulatory and operative gynaecology including minimal access surgeries. In 2011 she won a travelling fellowship to work at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town which kindled her long-term vision of contributing towards women's’ global health innovations and improving outcomes in high risk pregnancies. She is committed to making a difference in women’s health and wellbeing, not only with clinical expertise but also empowering patients through individualised multidisciplinary care and advocacy.

She also has postgraduate degree in medical education, and passionate about teaching. She is a tutor for Amoud and Hargesia Universities in Somaliland under the THET project of Kings College Hospital and holds academic positions as Senior Clinical Lecturer at Curtin University and Associate Professor at Lincoln University College in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia as medical school faculty.

Apart from her busy career, Arpita is also an accomplished singer and trained Kathak dancer (Khairaghar Gharana), hailing from a family with a rich cultural background. Over the years she has rendered several acclaimed stage performances in India, UK and Australia, including being the lead dancer at RCOG London events. Her current passion, however, is gardening, and on her off days she can often be found at the backyard of her home in Floreat, trying to give shape to her dream vegetable patches!

Dr Harpreet Singh was born and raised in the holy city of the Golden Temple, Amritsar, Punjab. He followed his family tradition to become 3rd generation of doctor after his father and grandfather.

Harpreet trained as an ENT Surgeon from Government medical college, Amritsar India in 1992.

He served briefly as an ENT specialist at Royal Hobart Hospital, Tasmania before moving to Perth in 2007 as a General Practitioner, with special interest in Otolaryngology and Skin Cancer surgery.
He has served as a Director of Canning Division of General Practice, and a board member of Royal College of General Practitioner WA. He is a keen academician with various publications in national journals and online websites such as Medscape.

Harpreet is also involved in the teaching international medical graduates and is an examiner for RACGP fellowship examinations. He also teaches medical students from Notre Dame Medical School and is designated adjunct Senior Lecturer at Curtin Medical School, WA.

  Harpreet loves cooking, gardening, and sports especially Tennis, Badminton and Cricket. He also enjoys Bollywood movies, classical music and singing. He is happily married and blessed with two boys, his elder son following his footsteps to become a doctor.

Harpreet is passionate about the prevention of global warming and believes a small contribution from each of us can make a huge change to stop climate change.

Ashok graduated from Kurnool Medical College (India). He underwent Paediatric ad Neonatal fellowship training in Royal Children’s Hospital (Melbourne), Princess Margaret Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital (Perth).

Currently, he is working as a Consultant Neonatologist at Fiona Stanley Hospital and St John of God Hospital. Ashok is also Adjunct Senior lecture in Curtin University and Notre Dame University. He got Special research interest in Neonatal Neurology. Ashok is also in-charge of education for Neonatal Junior Doctors at Fiona Stanley Hospital. He is passionate about delivering high quality services to patients and improving our standards of training and practise. He enjoys playing badminton and Cricket.
