She completed MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and then moved to New Zealand. It was while working in Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, NZ that she became interested in pursuing the speciality of Palliative Medicine. On moving to Perth, WA she pursued Advance Training with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Palliative Medicine.

She has been the Head of Department of the Palliative Care Unit in Bethesda Hospital and was instrumental in securing the funding for Specialist Training Position in Bethesda Hospital with the RACP. .

Currently, her clinical work is focussed in Hollywood Private Hospital. She is passionate about teaching medical students and mentoring registrars.

Ashwini and her husband Dr. Sanjay Mukhedkar have two sons and enjoy travelling.

Mr. Gera is currently working as Head of Department of Paediatric Surgery at Perth Children's Hospital .

Apart from his public appointments , he has his private consulting rooms at Perth Paediatrics and also works privately at St John of God Hospitals in Murdoch , Midland & Subiaco and Glengarry private hospital

Mr Gera belongs to Amritsar and migrated to Australia with his wife Dr Mala Gera and two children in 2004.Mr Gera did his initial training in General Surgery and Paediatric Surgery in Amritsar and Mumbai. Mr Gera then did his further training in in Australia .He completed his fellowship with The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Master of Medical Science from University of Western Australia and Master of Hospital Management from University of New South Wales.

He has been trained in Paediatric and Minimal Invasive Surgery at various hospitals including The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and The Sydney Children’s Hospital and St Jude Children's Hospital , Memphis(USA).

Besides his clinical practice, Mr. Gera is also involved in teaching programs at the University of Western Australia and is actively involved in the supervision of trainee surgeons. He is senior instructor for The Royal Australian Australasian College of Surgeons for the management of trauma and burns.

Mr. Gera holds an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor at Curtin University, Western Australia. Mr Gera has keen interest in research and has published widely in national and international journals.

One of his passion is his involvement in Science of Spirituality a non- profit organization promoting meditation and healthy way of life.

General SecretaryDr Kiran Puttappa is the CEO and Founder of GP West Group of Medical Centers in Perth.

Kiran was born in Mysore, city of palaces and brought up in Tumkur and graduated from JSS medical college, Mysore in 1996. He was trained in psychiatry at NIMHANS (Bangalore) and then worked in various hospitals in the UK and Australia as physician trainee before became a general practitioner. He also holds post-graduation qualification in diabetes from Cardiff University and has a special interest in complicated medical issues and diabetes management.

Kiran has great passion to general practice and vocal of general practice should be treated at par with any specialties. He brings more than 18 years of healthcare experience to the company and holds different positions in various organizations as below.

1. CEO of GP West group of medical centers.
2. Board member of RACGP (WA Faculty).
3. Panel member of AHPRA. (2015 to 2019)
4. Mentor for international medical graduates.
5. Co-director of PK dental group of dental centers.
6. Co-director of the NiA pharmaceuticals.

Ashok graduated from Kurnool Medical College (India). He underwent Paediatric ad Neonatal fellowship training in Royal Children’s Hospital (Melbourne), Princess Margaret Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital (Perth).

Currently, he is working as a Consultant Neonatologist at Fiona Stanley Hospital and St John of God Hospital. Ashok is also Adjunct Senior lecture in Curtin University and Notre Dame University. He got Special research interest in Neonatal Neurology. Ashok is also in-charge of education for Neonatal Junior Doctors at Fiona Stanley Hospital. He is passionate about delivering high quality services to patients and improving our standards of training and practise. He enjoys playing badminton and Cricket.

She also is a GP mentor for medical students from University of Western Australia and University of Notradame .

Rekha is the daughter of an Indian Airforce personnel who grew up in various cities of India mainly Bangalore , New Delhi and Chennai and is fluent in four Indian languages.

She gained her MBBS Degree from Thrissur Medical college in Kerala before moving to Botswana , Southern Africa to join her husband . After working voluntarily for a year she worked as a resident at the Botswana govt hospital and then moved to Australia in 2004 with her husband Nandakumar Pokkatt and two boys Nived and Navaneeth.

Dr Rekha Nanda worked in various hospitals of Western Australia both in south metropolitan and north metropolitan health services.

She gained her DRANZCOG (diplomate of the royal Australian and Newzealand college of obstetricians and gynecologists) from KING EDWARD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL.

Dr Rekha Nanda eventually became a fellow of RACGP after doing her GP training through the west Australian gp training programmed .

Rekha enjoys music and dance and has participated in various dance performances .

Rekha enjoys travelling and loves outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking with her family and their German shepherd dog Rana.

He also holds appointments in St. John of God Midland and Murdoch Hospitals and does private consulting at Wexford Gastroenterology and Midland Medical Specialists.

He is from Ludhiana, Punjab and came to Perth in 2005. After his basic and advanced physician training in Perth, he did a 2-year fellowship in Exeter, United Kingdom focusing on management of complex inflammatory bowel disease as well as research into IBD pharmacogenetics. He has keen interest in inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis, functional gut disorders as well as general adult gastroenterology and endoscopy.

I arrived in Australia on a two-year sabbatical and stayed back here serving the community.

For my family, I am "an alien in transit on a fun (d) raising mission" to ship them into space.

Dr Vinay is a General Practitioner working North of the River after attaining his fellowship in 2018. He is originally from Punjab and completed his medical training from Government Medical College in Amritsar.

He worked in India for few years before migrating to Perth in 2010 after getting married to his wife Dr Anu Soul and together they have two wonderful boys. After spending few years in the hospital system, he decided to pursue a career in general practice. He obtained his Diploma in Child Health in 2016 and has a special interest in pediatric medicine.

Outside of medicine, Vinay has a keen passion for badminton and Cricket. He plays at a competitive level and has won a variety of tournaments in this field. When off the sports fields, he enjoys singing.
