PresidentDr Sanjay Mukhedkar was born & brought up in the beautiful city of Hyderabad to doctor parents Graduated from the prestigious Osmania Medical college, he completed Post Graduation in Gen. Surgery at Gandhi Medical college, Secunderabad. During this period he met his soul mate Dr Ashwini Davray. They both migrated to NZ & went to do Residency in St Luke's Hospital Manhattan, NY from 1996 to 1999.

Sanjay got into Oncology at Waikato Hamilton, moved to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital to complete his FRACP. Joined Fremantle Hospital as junior consultant & then to retire from public service as head of the department in 2014. Since 2006, he also established the first group practice in medical oncology based in SJOG hospital Murdoch. Under the banner of Oncology West, they cater to all oncological needs in the southern corridor extending to Rockingham, midlands & Mandurah. He is also a Principal Investigator in many new trials with expertise in Lung, GI & GU cancers.

Apart from busy practise, he is also a keen cricketer, regular badminton & chess player. His passion now is more in facilitating tournaments to get like minded people together.

Vice PresidentMr Mayank Bhandari is Consultant Hepatobiliary and General Surgeon who specialises in laparoscopic (keyhole), hepato-pancreatico-bliary (HPB) and renal transplant surgery. His main interests are in disease of the liver, gallbladder, biliary system and pancreas.

Mr Mayank Bhandari comes from Jaipur, Rajasthan. He completed his surgical training in India. Post surgicalgraduation he did fellowship in Surgical Gastroenterology inMumbai. He migrated to Adelaide, Australia in 2004.

Since then he has contributed extensively in the management of liver and pancreatic diseases. Mr Bhandari did a PhD in pancreatology at Flinders University, Adelaide. After his fellowship in general surgery, he was awarded with Paul McMaster Fellowship for advanced training in liver and pancreatic surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK.

His main interests are Cricket, Bollywood movies and music.

Dr Satish Devata was Born and Brought up in Historical city of Hyderabad in India. Satish graduated in Medicine in 1999 from Davangere and did his Post Graduation in General Medicine from 2001-2004 in India. Satish has been working as a GP in Australia since 2006. He has worked in Wheatbelt for a Year and has been in Rockingham- Kwinana area for 12 years.

He is very passionate in teaching medical students and he has done so in India and Worked as tutor at UWA. Over past 12 years, he has helped numerous overseas doctors with Orientation to Australian General practice system. He regularly takes on Medical student placements from Notre Dame and attends as Examiner for Notre Dame and RACGP. He runs and Coordinates the Education Sessions for the Team of Doctors who all work together.

Satish likes holistic approach to Patient care and he prides himself for his approach. He enjoys all aspects of General practice.

He co-owns Few General Practice clinics in Perth Metro area. He is happily married with two young Girls and enjoys Table tennis, Badminton, Cricket and Bollywood movies & Travel.

Dr Krish graduated from Bangalore (India). He underwent physician and specialist endocrinology training in Liverpool (UK) and worked as a consultant in the UK. Dr Krish has fellowships from the UK, Ireland and Australia. He has a special interest in and holds post-graduate qualifications in teaching in clinical practice. He also has a special research interest in diabetes. Currently, he is working as a consultant Endocrinologist at Fiona Stanley hospital and Rockingham General Hospital. Dr Krish has been actively involved in supporting medical students in his “Physician coordinator” role attached to The University of Western Australia.

Dr Krish describes himself as passionate specialist in providing high-level patient care and empowering patients in decision making. He values good communication with primary care physicians and patients.

He works in private practice at Antony street clinic, Palmyra and SJOG Murdoch. He has established Rockingham Specialist Centre which is one of the biggest specialist centre in Western Australia.

Special Interests Type 1 and type 2 diabetes , including patients on Insulin Pump, thyroid disorders, testosterone issues calcium problems and osteoporosis, pituitary problems and PCOS.

He came to Australia to complete a Fellowship in Paediatric Radiology at The Kids Hospital at Westmead, and 2 years in a Neuroradiology fellowship at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Royal Perth hospital.

He then joined Perth Radiological Clinic as a specialist Neuroradiologist and is currently a Partner at this institution. He has been part of the AIMA executive for quite a few years and was President of our association from 2016 to 2018.

Chinar is Head of Psychiatry and a Consultant Youth Psychiatrist at Fiona Stanley Hospital. As a Youth Psychiatrist, she specialises in 16-24yr olds presenting with mental health problems along with continuing to manage adult Psychiatry patients.

She has developed and led Youth mental heath service at Fiona Stanley Hospital since coming to Perth in 2016. She is also undertaking research in this area. Prior to that she was a Consultant Psychiatrist and Deputy Medical Director in UK since completing her higher training in General Adult Psychiatry in 2011.

She has been a Gold Medalist from her Medical College in India, has published a few papers and her Youth mental health service at Fiona Stanley Hospital has won awards and accolades along with recognition in our local newspapers.

Kamlesh Completed his medical school in Gujarat, India and moved to Australia in 2000. He studied Occupational Medicine in Mumbai and went onto complete a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Child Health in Perth. He currently works at the busy, seaside practice of Scarborough Beach Medical Centre.

He enjoys the variety and family links developed through general practice and is passionate about providing the best care for the wellbeing of his patients. He loves to get involved in the community, having been part of many organisations and committees in Perth. He spends his spare time playing cricket and enjoys dance and travelling.
